Kids Run Free is a charity that aims to promote an active, healthy and happy lifestyle for children through running events held in local public parks.
We believe children should be encouraged to regularly take part in outdoors activities. Our events are designed to get kids up and running from an early age. We also believe that to sustain their interest, these activities need to occur regularly and be fun - that's why our frequent events are family and community-friendly occasions. We encourage parents/guardians to come along with their children and make good use of their local recreational facilities.
Just as the name says, it is completely FREE to take part in Kids Run Free in the Parks events.
We currently have many locations across the Midlands and the South. Find out more about our locations here, also please check our calendar for further details of events near you.
To register for FREE, please click here. You will need to register each individual child.
This depends on the location. Some are monthly, some are fortnightly. Click here to find the next event near you.
Each child’s individual barcode. You will generate this barcode when you register online here. Be sure to bring it with you to every event you attend. A drink and a snack for your children. Suitable footwear and clothing for the weather. (Children do not need to be in sports clothing. Most children run in their normal clothes with coats, hats, trainers, boots or wellies, depending on the time of year and the weather.)
Yes! The only time we would cancel an event due to the weather is if it is considered to be too dangerous for the children to run. We have held events in the rain and snow, and of course on warm sunny mornings.
